Given all the hype surrounding all the benefits of apple cider vinegar I decided to give it a try.  From everything I read people were claiming that ACV helped with digestion, weight loss, lower blood sugar and helps boost the immune system.  So about a year ago I started mixing about 2 tablespoons of organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar with mother in a glass of water every morning to see what would happen.  To my surprise here are some of the benefits I experienced.

ACV Curbed My Appetite

After drinking the vinegar in the morning I feel full and normally skip breakfast without getting hungry until around lunch time. If you are doing intermittent fasting this can be a huge help. So if you are trying to drop a few pounds this might just be the solution you’ve been looking for.


I Felt Less Stress

I normally have bad anxiety in the morning.  It can be really bad. After drinking ACV it feels like my anxiety melts away almost immediately. The warm feeling after I drink it is also surprising comforting. This may be the placebo effect but it definitely seems to help!

Lower Blood Sugar

I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes a few years ago.  During my  most recent checkup my doctor said I was no longer pre-diabetic!  I attribute this to the apple cider vinegar!

My Immune System was Strong

Earlier this year several of my coworkers were getting sick at work and passing it on to others.  It was highly contagious and many people were getting ill.  Even though I was around them all day I remained healthy and strong.

Lowers Cholesterol

In animal studies apple cider vinegar has lowered cholesterol and triglyceride levels which can lead to heart disease.  When I went for my physical my blood work was fantastic and my cholesterol levels were phenomenal.  They were so good in fact that the doctor said he was impressed!  I try to eat healthy but my results have never been this good so I will attribute this improvement to the ACV.

Conclusion

So if you suffer from anxiety you should give apple cider vinegar a try.  If you are unsure try it for a week and see if you feel a difference.  Heck, even if it doesn’t help with anxiety you may experience some of the other benefits.

  1. I also suffer from anxiety, and I had heard some benefits of acv but hadn’t heard that it helped with anxiety. I started drinking one table spoon with water and I did notice changes in my digestion at first but felt like it flatlined after a while. I decided to try two tablespoons and that’s when I noticed my anxiety going away. I didn’t attribute it to the acv until I forgot to drink it for a weekend and that Monday going back to work I had terrible anxiety. I had to step outside numerous times to get some air. The next day i didn’t get any anxiety at all, and i had gone back to drinking the acv. That’s when i realized there could be a correlation. I googled it and saw that I wasn’t the only one. I was drinking it all at once in the morning though, and realized I’d get little bouts of anxiety later on in the day though, but still nothing as bad as when not drinking acv at all. So what I do now is drink three tablespoons with water and sip it throughout the day. Man, what a difference! I no longer worry about my anxiety as long as I have my acv and it’s wonderful!
